Types of services and tarifs

During production, the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture tests the movement and case of your watch to ensure its reliability and water-resistance. Nevertheless, we recommend that you have your watch serviced regularly by one of our approved retailers.

  • - Water-resistance check: once every two years. This can be undertaken by one of our approved retailers with all the necessary equipment. If it becomes apparent that your watch is not perfectly water-resistant during this check, a complete service will be carried out to ensure the correct functioning of your Girard-Perregaux watch.
  • - Complete service: every two to three years.

Prices and services vary depending on the complexity of your model. These tariffs are indicative of the various types of complete service available:

  • - Quartz: 450 CHF (excl. tax)
  • - Quartz chronograph or complication: 900 CHF (excl. tax)
  • - Simple automatic or manual: 750 CHF (excl. tax)

Haute Horlogerie quotes : 200 CHF (excl. tax)

Restoration of Vintage Watches

The Girard-Perregaux Manufacture has been revitalising Swiss Haute Horlogerie tradition since 1791. It has managed to preserve and enrich this unique area of expertise for more than two centuries.

Older watches require the skills and knowledge of our artisan watchmakers. Girard-Perregaux capitalises on this lasting expertise by promoting the training of new generations of watchmakers to the brand’s very high standards.

Personalised servicing can be arranged for rare and precious models. In such cases, the watch needs to be taken to a Girard-Perregaux-approved retailer, who will then notify our Customer Service team.

For exceptional and extremely rare timepieces, a quote is essential in order to evaluate the time needed to repair a movement. This quote is priced at 200 CHF (excl. delivery costs). If the repair work is subsequently refused, quoting costs will not be reimbursed.

Requesting watch information

Girard-Perregaux offers an information service for its watches. To benefit from this service, you do not need to submit your watch to us, but you do need to send us photographs of the timepiece, the movement and all engraved parts together with a list of all the engravings on the watch.

Our experts will then analyse this information and you will receive a document containing the characteristics of and information relating to the model (production date, description, references and origin). This document cannot be used as a certificate of authenticity under any circumstances. Research is carried out by an expert in watchmaking and is priced at 200 CHF, payable in advance.

Requests can only be submitted through the Girard-Perregaux website. A message will be sent to you, detailing the process of how to compile the necessary information, as well as payment terms.

Obtaining a certificate of authenticity

To obtain a certificate of authenticity for your watch, the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture offers an expert service. We cannot guarantee the authenticity of any product from a distance; therefore we ask that you send us your watch using a secure posting method. Our experts will then be able to verify the authenticity of your watch and its characteristics, etc. This authentication service is charged at 500 CHF, payable in advance (price does not include delivery costs). Requests must be made through the Girard-Perregaux website. A message will be sent to you, detailing postage and payment details.

Watch valuation

If you would like to know the commercial value of your watch, we advise you to consult a specialist auction house.
